Allow What Is
Acceptance is the deepest surrender and it doesn’t need to take so much energy. Acceptance comes from a relinquishing of the fight. You may find, when the ego is on, that you have a desire to push, change, manipulate and force your way through life, trying to control the external so that you may – it believes – have internal peace. Surrender is the relaxing of this control… of this futile attempt to control.
This is why we say that surrender does not need to be a dramatic fight to let go. This is still the ego’s version of surrendering. When you truly accept and surrender, there is a deep relaxation, a deep bodily exhale that naturally allows all that is to simply Be. And in doing so, the energy involved in changing what is, analyzing what is, and trying to control what is can be transmuted and returned to you in love.
So while it may take some energy to fight against your ego’s resistance, you will find that the moment you do begin the surrender, all of that energy and more is restored to you as peace, contentment, joy, and appreciation for what is. Your body releases the tension that the mind’s fight was creating inside of you, making more space for the light to shine through.
Allowing what is, in any given moment… wider and wider, more and more completely in the realm of your vision (both literal and spiritual), is like fuel for an embodiment which is energized and grateful. You become receptive, then, to all that you do wish to experience for you are no longer fighting the flow. Allow what is, in all of its infinite manifestations, because it will always be the doorway to your highest self.
And so it is.
