Feeling Stuck in Feeling Stuck

What’s Going On

At the time of receiving this message a few months ago, I was feeling generally negative – specifically, feeling stuck in the feeling of being stuck. Tired, uninspired, ‘blah’, vaguely self-critical and unhappy, ungrateful, both wanting and hating the idea of attention and care from others.

I felt drawn to share this message today, in case it can help anyone!

What Came Through

Feeling stuck is one of the easiest feelings to move, because it is based on movement itself. You just need to move something through you, anything. This can be through laughter, physical exercise, talking to someone, writing, breathing, yoga, meditating. So many things can unstick you. There are so many ways of being unstuck.

What we’re talking about here, in a way, is abundance. Feeling stuck is like denying yourself abundance. It’s still there, of course, but you are refusing to allow it in. So, the issue is more so: why are you plugging yourself up? Why do you not feel worthy of this vastness, these infinite ways of being unstuck? What inside you is benefitting from this energetic act?

Whatever it is, it is not the source of your joy, your truth, or your power.

You might feel resistance to the idea of becoming unstuck. Being stuck is a sticky feeling. It wants to pull you backwards. On the bright side, however, this can be proof of an intended forward movement.

Imagine if you stepped into a piece of gum. You begin to step forward again and – you feel the pull backwards. If this really happened, would you give your power away to the gum, stop moving, and admit defeat?

No, of course not. You would say, ‘ah, there is something wanting to pull me back, but it is smaller than me, and I am stronger than this’, and you’d keep walking – maybe scrape it off later when you got the chance. You might be displeased, but you wouldn’t imagine staying there, and you’d do the only logical thing: keep going. You might feel a little tug again here and there, but eventually you might even forget it happened – the stickiness unsticks. ‘You’ were never stuck – something small was stuck to you.

This is what you do when you feel stuck energetically, too. Acknowledge where you are, but with no more drama than if there were a little gum on your shoe. Keep moving, do something, tap back into where you want to go and be, and the Universe will meet you in your motion. It only needs the smallest opening.

And through that tiny opening, what you want can more readily flow to you: the ease, the gratitude, the joy, the feeling of being loved, seen, safe, and cared for. The Universe is constantly moving, flowing, expanding – as energy does. Let yours do the same. It’s as simple as that.
