Rising Fire Energy
Today I was drawn to share this message I received in December of 2021. At the time I wrote…
What’s going on
I’m feeling angry and ‘fed up’ and confused and afraid. I don’t know what I’m meant to be doing – or what I’m going to tell people that I’m doing. I’m afraid of the reaction when/if I say the truth, and I think I’m afraid of my own truth, too (that I want to do something that doesn’t make any ‘sense’ and that I can’t totally see...). I know that I want to feel free, and I want to come more into my own power...and I feel like I don’t know how to do that. I find that annoying and like I should know better and be doing better. And at the same time, I think all of these feelings are fairly trivial and maybe even boring.
I think this message was re-introduced to me today as I feel intuitively that the fire energy is rising up on the planet again, creating all sorts of powerful emotional experiences for individuals and communities alike. The collective energies feel like they are intensifying, and there is a lot of fear in the air. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this. I feel many sensitive people will be picking up on this, and any followers of astrology will know that we are now within Eclipse Season, where change energies are invigorated and quickened.
And while I’m in a fairly different place from when I first wrote that ‘What’s going on’ section, my desire for truth, freedom, and connection to my own source of power continues to strengthen, as I think it is doing for many on the planet right now. This is a fiery energy and it has a beautiful purpose.
So, whether you are feeling it personally in an aspect of your life that requires invigoration or purification, or, you are simply picking up on the collective shift, below is what I received about this ‘fiery’ energy some months ago.
What’s coming through
The fire is rising at this time for a reason. The element of fire is purifying – it is fast, fierce, and consumes that which is around it for energy, because fire wants to spread out and expand. It wants to extend its warmth outwards. Have you heard the expression, ‘baptism by fire’? It is just as ‘spiritual’ as the water-based type, though it might not look it. Water is often used in spiritual imagery and this is shown in the Bible clearly, just as an example: walking on water, the major floods, water baptisms, water into wine… and yet the element of fire can evoke fear of destruction or punishment.
Fire is powerful and transformative, and it’s not something many feel comfortable with. It’s not something many easily find compassion for, either. When a friend is crying, it feels natural to move towards them, and wrap around them as tears flow. But when they are angry – and worse, angry at you – you might want to run away, hide, or be angry right back at them!
When fire begins to rise in us, you might feel anger, and you might feel fear and want to run away from it. You might want to project it outwards and feel that others are angry at you, so your mind has an excuse to stay in your victim narrative or to hide yourself away. Or maybe you are like the moth to the flame of a self-righteous fire, and you just can’t pull yourself away – ruminating on the feelings and the story, over and over, like the tongues of the flame continue to twitch and sway.
Allow yourself to feel and allow the fire to move through you. It is part of coming into your power. See the fire you are feeling within your mind and body as a transmutation of your victim consciousness and your feelings of powerlessness. It’s okay (and good!) to feel this anger – if it rises, it demands to be felt.
The breath is powerful here. Think of each breath as taking oxygen away from the fire that consumes you or scares you, into an inner fire that can fuel you. A fire that makes you feel invincible, radiant, warm. Feel this in your heart.
Practicing this will help with the fear and confusion, too. Fire is light! Fire can bring you clarity, cast away shadows and show you new ones. And fire can bring courage when you remember that you are not your anger, but you are your power and your determination to live in your truth.
When you allow the rising fire energy within you to transmute feelings of powerlessness, you will be able to see, hear, feel and know your truth.
Trust that it is here for a reason and honor its presence in your life.
Additional Thoughts (from me).
have so much compassion for yourself if this is your experience,
drink LOTS of water,
rest, and
make sure you are grounding & clearing out your energy field.
